Us, Lindsay and Riley, are the co-writers for a book called Last Chance. This will be a blog filled with information, updates, and excerpts from and of Last Chance. If you want to read Last Chance, go to Wattpad and search up our username of ReadingWritingDragon. Last Chance will be the only book being written there.
Just keep in mind that we are still in process of writing the chapters and such, and we have not edited at all.
Last Chance is a book we started writing, probably, like, two years ago. Maybe one and a half, but it’s been a while. We started off with an idea and a wanting to write, and we never expected it to get this far! We are definitely hoping to get Last Chance published at some point, after editing a lot and finishing the book. Our goal is to finish the whole writing process by 2016, but I feel that we might need to go into 2017.
As you can see, this is a very long-term process!
We try to keep our minds open about new chapters and ideas. From the first chapter, we have definitely made some adjustments to the whole book, including adding backstories, different characters, and different paths for our main character, Aria. She has grown a lot since we started writing in 2013, and she keeps changing and adjusting to every new scenario we put her in!
If you are interested in knowing what Last Chance is about, we’ll try to sum it up for you.
Aria thinks that she is normal. She has a best friend and crush, Henry, that she’s known since kindergarten. A best friend with bright red, curly hair named Sammy that can almost tell the future and gives her the most amazing advice. Another BFF, Opal, that she can count on for anything, and a sister the “Almighty Scarlet” that makes her life miserable. But there’s a lot more to her life than she thinks, and when a boy at school starts talking to her, Drew, she finds herself pulled towards him. She knows that her sister will get in the way of everything, though. Scarlet digs her claws into anything that is hers and when her life is turned upside-down with magic, mysteries, and trouble, she doesn’t know what to think. Does she have a past that goes farther than her lifetime? Who can she really trust? The only problem is that her demonic sister is always more than ten steps ahead of her. Can she finally fight back and regain control over her future? And is this her last chance to make things right between the sides she is fighting against?
There you go! A kind of sum-up of Last Chance. We would love it if you would give it a try, and with the reward of seeing us through the development you will too! The more people who want us to write the more pressured will be, and hopefully you’ll get your new chapters much faster. Please help us catch plotholes, we’re excited to bring you some excellent content!
